The House “Casa da Boa Fonte” is a copy of the traditional architecture of Minho from the early 20th century, consisting of two bodies: the original House and the old Granary, now adapted to habitation. The deployment of “Casa da Boa Fonte”, on a plot of terraced fields and vineyards, provides a pleasant panoramic view, in which stands out the remarkable silhouette of the “Senhor do Socorro”. The name of the House should be, exactly, in the vicinity of one of the many sources of the parish of Labruja, where it sits.
In addition to its natural vocation as a unit of accommodation, offers a remarkable framework, within a network of routes/itineraries, or mountain valley, is by the Serra D´Arga or Peneda/Gerês. The investment in reconstruction and remodeling the “Casa da Boa Fonte”, incorporating the full redevelopment of built spaces and treatment of outdoor spaces, aimed at providing a tourist offer of accommodation. The concretion of this project was based on a concern to recover almost the entire set built in their formal and aesthetic components, retrieving simultaneously and, to the extent practicable, the traditional construction technologie. The ground floor of the House has two double bedrooms and one double bedroom with private sanitary facilities, with possibility to install extra beds. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, bathroom and a reading nook. The rooms have central heating, television, telephone and access to internet. The old Granary, now connected to the original House, integrates a large common room and kitchen. From the dining room leads to the terrace, which provides, in the summer, an excellent dining space and outdoor leisure.
